2007 Christmas Gathering

| | 0 You Bark here

This is Julian's 2nd Christmas gathering! This year is a special one cos' all the uncles and aunties attended. Of cos' most importantly our VIP (Very Important PIG - Daddy) has attended too! Too bad our Princess Nicole couldn't attend cos NO DOG IN SHOPPING CENTRE!

This year celebration was held in Causeway Pt - Swenson! The bill was over S$200+ and paid by Auntie Jannet.

Baby Julian had received the following presents:
1. A GYM ball from Mummy
2. A kepboard from Uncle and Auntie Nick
3. A S$60.00 Metro Voucher from Uncle and Auntie George
4. A SoFa bed (his favourite) from Godma
5. A musical teddy bear and cap (his favourite) from Uncle and Aunite Jason
(P.S. : Julian had lost the teddy bear in a taxi while travelling to gong gong's house. And this morning he knocked his head twice trying to pick up the cap on the floor. My maid's explanation was his head is big and heavy so he lost his balance not once and but twice!)
6. 2 pieces of Giordano CNY clothings from Godma.

Baby G is 32 weeks

| | 0 You Bark here

Baby G is 32 weeks old! G is weighing at approximately 1737g now. Mummy is a fat woman at 54.8kg. Baby G (or Julian's bb Gar Gar) is very active in Mummy's tummy and is always on the move 24-7. G has cause Mummy's so much pain that Mummy cannot even walk properly now. Mummy is having an inflammation and swollen vaginal. Now Mummy is peeing almost at 2 hours interval every night so Mummy couldn't sleep well.
Auntie Jessie is very concern with the sex of BB G and she keeps asking. She keep mentioning that she couldn't buy clothes for Gar Gar if she doesn't know the sex! Re-assured! Regardless of what gender it is, BB G is going to wear BB Julian's clothes cos it's gonna be Mummy last product and Mummy is not willing to spend anymore. However, Mummy has gone United Square to get a white and green bunny romper for BB G for G's big day!
There are more things u can give to BB Gar Gar such as:
1. Avent Feeding Bottles - 3 x 260ml
2. Play Pen
3. A light weight stroller at S$109.00 (Available at Kiddy Palace)
and last but not least Mint is preferred!
Our next appointment is 09.01.2008.
(P.S. : We were in a taxi on the way home from ah ma's house. Mummy told Julian that BB Gar Gar is very naughty, always kicking Mummy's tummy! U know what! Julian beat Mummy's tummy! What a fierce brother he is! Then later he stroke Mummy's tummy again!)

Nicole's on heat

| | 0 You Bark here

Princess Nicole is on heat on 22.12.2007. So Mummy and Daddy are keeping her away from all the male dogs!
Daddy is thinking of mating her but how can! Mummy's due date is in Feb 2008. And if she is pregnant, her due date will be almost the same as Mummy! So Mummy must book her for Mt Pleasant and get a confinement nanny for her!
Dear Nicole, Mummy is in no hurry to marry you off. U must find a good husband!

Julian's Milestone @ 17m

| | 0 You Bark here

These are some of the photos taken @ 17m! (Clockwise: (1) Julian has learnt a new word - HAT! and he wanna wear BB Gar Gar bonnet. (2) Julian and his buddy - Daffy Duck, can't leave home without it! Does this pose look like it. Both eyes closed! (3) Julian's grocery shopping trip after MY GYM!))

BB Julian is now 17 months old. He is now very talkative and is learning new words all the time! He is also very interested in reading books. Mummy is glad that he is able to identify most of the pictures in the books and can even pronounce some.

Now that Mummy's tummy is getting bigger, he is getting more sticky to Mummy and always calling out "mummy mummy......" Mummy is trying very hard to bring him out as often as I can (even now that I am having difficulty walking) and treasure the time with him before Mummy is grounded after the birth of BB G. I hope he can understand.

BTW, Mummy is looking forward to his first day of school on the 4/1/2008 (Fri).

Happy Poo'ing

| | 0 You Bark here

Julian is still 2 days short of 17 month old and he looks like he is already 2 yr old in the pic. "Chow lao" like his daddy! He has upgraded his "business class seat". No more potty! Mummy has thought him to flush water and wash his hand after his "business trip". So now Baby Julian is doing his morning business just like Daddy minus the newspaper.

As for my darling Nicole... What can I said! As didi has made his upgrading and jie jie is back to her puppy time. After she returned from Auntie Unique's home, she will pee on the rug rather on her tray. Why? Bad influence from Auntie Unique's 3 grandchildren lor. She had been watching the 3 little whitish furkids doing it on the rug during her stay with them so she does the same thing when she comes home.

(Dear Nicole, they are in the progress of been toilet trained and they are been confined by Auntie Unique. Can't you notice that? So u wanna be toilet trained all over again? Ok, Mummy shall confine u to the toilet seat from now on till boxing day...)

BB G is 30 weeks

| | 0 You Bark here

BB G is in Mummy's tummy for 30 weeks already. So most likely another 10 more weeks to go and G will be due on 18.02.2008.

G is now very active in Mummy's tummy. Always kicking and rumbling in my tummy like a 7-11. So Mummy didn't sleep well at night nowadays.

Today Mummy went to Dr Lee for an utlrasound and G is weighing 1624g. Mummy has ballooned to 54.4kg now, so clumsy and fat! Mummy also paid a deposit of S$600.00 for G's delivery.

G, our next appointment shall be on BOXING DAY!

Our Genting Holiday (30/11-2/12/2007)

| | 0 You Bark here

Daddy had finally willing to move his bum and bring us for a short holiday! So Genting Highland was Julian 1st oversea holiday! He behaved quite well and never roll off the bed at nites. Except that on our way back to Singapore, he went cranky cos he didn't have enough sleep.

He had enjoyed his 3 days with his favourite gong gong and godma!

(P.S.: Dear Julian, after this trip u will be grounded cos BB G is due soon!)

On the other hand, poor jie jie Nicole was left in the care of Auntie Unique. Though Auntie Unique loves and care for her very much but she was still homesick. She would wait on the sofa watching the door waiting for Daddy and Mummy to come back for her.

When Auntie Unique sent me an MMS of her and her updates, Mummy was so heartache. If travelling is easy for her, she would long being a globe-trotter dog.

Julian's vaccination - MMR

| | 0 You Bark here

This is a long awaited video clip. Auntie Unique supposed to help Mummy encode the video but she is very busy with her 3 grandchildren so no time to do so. Finally, she passed the software to me to DIY. Now enjoy yourself!

Julian is 15 months now so he will need to take his MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella) vaccination. Today he behaved much better than before cos Daddy is around and he knew he was on camera. Enjoy the clip! He next vaccination will be at 18m. He weighs 11kg now.

Julian's haircut

| | 0 You Bark here

It's almost time to get Julian a haircut so Mummy teases Julian yesterday if he wants to go for a hair cut. He kept imitating the sound of the shaver on his head "zzzzzzzzzzzzz" and kept shaking his head indicating he doesn't want a hair cut. He used his hand to pat his chest indicating scare scare...

Dear Julian, u still need to go for a haircut, by latest in Jan 2008.

Mummy's good boy

| | 0 You Bark here

Darling Julian is a very helpful and responsible 16m old baby. See what he was doing? Mummy had gone to NTUC to do some grocery shopping while piggy daddy is of course "zzzzzzzzz" at home. He helped Mummy dragged that bag of Kitchen Towel home and still not forgetting to hold on tight to his new toy.

Unlike other babies, he dropped his slipper while Daddy ws walking with him. He actually dragged Daddy back to retrieve his slipper. What a responsible baby he is!

Mummy! Mummy!

| | 0 You Bark here

My sister in law once told me that babies starts calling their parents at 10m so I've been longing for Julian to call me. He seem to but I was not sure he was calling me exactly until quite recently when he was 14 plus months. He started calling Dad then Daddy... then ma ma... and he was very "teh" when he did that. It melt my heart! Now he can pronounce it clearly - Mummy! Thereafter, he will call me whenever he wants help! He will call me so many times a day and sometimes I am beginning to "tak boleh tahan" (can't stand) him liao..

Julian is very clingy to me especially now that my tummy is getting bigger and he is like a indian or maybe i should say he has my family genes - he likes to hold my hand even from bedroom to toilet, living room to kitchen...

Julian horror X'mas shopping

| | 0 You Bark here

Godma, Auntie Lorna (our maid) & Mummy brought Julian for pre-christmas shopping yesterday. He enjoyed himself but Godma had done something silly and scared the wit out of everybody in the MRT station. Only Julian remained happily blessed without knowing what had happened.

On our way home, we needed to make a big detour from Wisma to Orchard MRT station and it was quite crowded cos it was a weekend. Godma walked in front carrying her precious godson, Mummy was in the middle cos my 7m tummy is so heavy and I had to walk slow. Lorna was behind us cos she needed to push the stroller with our shopping bags (Our shopping trip with Prince Julian is always an entourage one). Then Godma suddenly put Julian on the platform next to the escalator to search for her MRT farecard. Mummy saw that and wanted to reach for that mischievious boy immediately but he started walking on the platform. The passer-by saw it and was shock but never did anything to stop it just blocking my way to grab him. Godma saw that and realised her mistake and immediately dash for him. He was reachng the end of the platform and luckily he stopped and look down at the platform. Luckily he didn't think it is a slide and plunge otherwise the consequence is going to be serious. Godma and I were scared out of wit, she grabbed him and hugged him so tightly refusing to let go.

Godma went home forgetting about her shopping bag and the shock was not over for us. We kept sms'ing each other about the horror and she kept apologising to me.

I am normally calm but there were 2 times that I was really scared of losing him. First time was when he had a seizure and this was the 2nd time.

I woke up in the middle of the night at 4am, could not sleep and just watch this little boy soundly aslseep and recalling the incident. Dear Julian, u know how much Mummy and Godma love u, we can't lose u.

My dog name "MANJA"

| | 0 You Bark here

I should have called her "MANJA" and not Nicole but since I'd adopted her so the name "NICOLE" comes with it!

I dunno what kinda of Mummy am I! My children are all fussy about food and they all need to be fed and coaxed for meals. For Nicole, my maid has resorted to feeding her and kana scolding from me a few times. She is the most health conscious dog in the world I believe. She will never forget her after dinner dessert - FRUIT! Regardless of what time she finishes her food, even in the middle of the night, she will come to me and scratch my hand till I wake up then lead me to the kitchen to see her empty bowl. Since she is my darling and she will look at me with her pair of beautiful and pitiful eyes, I GIVE IN LOR! I'll cut the fruit for her. (OK! Blame me! I spoilt her!) She will not eat her dry food dutifully! My maid said it's too hard for her. We have to mix carrots or salmon or beef.... into her dry food and coax her to eat. However, when I bring her down to feed stray dogs, she will compete with the strays and eat the dry food! With nothing OK! Just dry food! Sometimes, I feel like kicking her ass for that!

There's a chinese saying "好狗不挡路" and she is definitly a "坏狗". She always block the way especially when I am in a hurry and she dare to walk in front of a 7m pregnant woman whose tummy is so big and can't see her toes. She will walk so slowly and sometimes I just accidentally kick her. She will turn around and look at me before she decided to stay away from my path.

She has poor eye sight too! There was once I brought down for her usual stroll while waiting for Daddy to come down. Suddenly she saw a man wearing bermuda, she was so happy that she ran, jump and hop towards that fellow. She went to the guy and look up then smelt his hairy leg before she confirmed that's not her Daddy then ran back to me! (Dear Nicole, not all men wear bermuda is your father OK?! Even Mummy's short sighted oso can tell that was definitly not my husband) So during her last visitation to the Vet, I asked him to check her eye sight for short sightedness or cataracts. Vet said her eye sight is perfect!

She loves massages! Whoever massages her, she will call him or her godfather or mother! She will just shiok till she turn over and let u do it. If u stop, she will either use her paw or her nose to scratch your hands and ask u to continue....

Julian's Preschool Enrolment

| | 1 You Bark here

Mummy has finally enrolled him for a Preschool - 2008 Intake after much research and consideration. His first day of class shall be Jan 4, 2008 (Fri). It's where he is attending MY GYM lesson currently. They also do preschool which combines fitness exercise with literacy and numeracy. It also incoporate plays, art & craft lessons in it but the disadvantage is that it doesn't have Chinese lesson. The teacher to students ratio is 1:3 so the teacher can give more attention to the children. He will be in the caterpillar class and the duration of the class is 1.5hour.

Course Fees is S$360.00 a month with one month deposit. So far Daddy has not commented on the fee so I hope Julian will enjoy his class and learn.

P.S.: Julian study hard, OK!? Popo has got you a haversack and u can carry a lot of rubbish to school just like Mummy did when she was a kid. Ha Ha....

Julian's "big business"

| | 0 You Bark here

Julian was playing in the room and he farted. Yee.... so smelly. Then he suddenly made a dash to the toilet. At the entrance of the toilet, he looked so panic cos he has forgotten to hold Mummy's hand (which he would usually do) and he didn't know how to pull down his training pant. Luckily the observant Mummy saw his urgency and followed him earlier. With Mummy's help, he was able to sit on the potty in time to do his "BIG BUSINESS". I could see his facial expression after that, "WHAT A RELIEF!"

Too bad! I dun have a camera with me.

About Honey

| | 0 You Bark here

Old folks always tell me to feed baby with honey no matter how I explain to them NO NO! So now I'm putting it down once and for all.

Extracts from The Sunday Times dtd Nov 18, 2007.

"Infants under one year old, however, should not be given honey.
Honey contains a temperature resistant bacteria known as clostridium botulinum. It produces toxins that causes food poisoning.
In adults, the stomach acids remove toxins, but infants have insufficient acidic gastric juices or gut bacteria to remove them. In serious cases, the toxins may cause nerve paralysis and breathing porblems."

The story of Fillial Piety

| | 0 You Bark here

I remember my primary school Chinese teacher used to tell me this story that leaves a deep impression in me. Now I'm going to write this story down for my children and those reading the blog.

Long long time ago, there was this son who treated his old age father badly. He refused to let him eat with his family on the table every meal time. He would give his father his meal contain in a coconut husk and made him sit at the doorstep to eat it.

One day, he saw his precious only son trying to carve something out of a coconut husk. He asked him what he was doing. His son replied that he was now making a bowl out of the coconut so that when his father was old like grandpa, he could do the same to him!

So I guess u know the moral of the story!

My loving Julian

| | 0 You Bark here

Yesterday, we were preparing to go back to my in-laws place. I took out a pair of shoes for Julian to wear. Then I walked away to do my thing.

I heard Julian calling "Mummy....Mummy..." so I walked to him. He was trying to open the shoes cabinet door but was very tight. The door slammed on his face and yet he was still trying hard. I tried to figure out what he was doing. He actually tried to pull out a pair of shoes which I normally wear during my outing for me. Actually I was wearing shorts and intended to just wear my CROCS but since he was making so much effort to take out a pair of shoes for me so I have to wear the shoes.

So imagine how Mummy look that day!? Shorts with a pair of canvass. Never mind, it's a lovely gesture from my loving Julian.

Nicole's sick

| | 0 You Bark here

Nicole is down with a skin allergy again. Seeing her body itches so much, it really pains Mummy. Her ear has an inflammation after she was back from usual grooming. Mummy and Daddy brought her to the vet on Wednesday evening.

She was so itchy that the Vet decided to give her a steroid jab to ease her itch. Baby was watching his sister receiving the jab and the micro-chip injection (O yes! now my daughter has an micro-chipped implant finally!) but he was not crying at all. This smart boy knew it was not for him. He hugged his sister tightly when Mummy told him jie jie was going for a jab.

The Vet prescribed her with anti-biotic for 2 weeks, some anti-histamine for her itch and a bottle of lotion for her to apply. So now Mummy is diligently feeding her with medicine and taking care of her wound. From now on, Mummy will make sure that I will bathe Nicole twice a week till she recovers and to bring her own towel and shampoo during her grooming. Poor Nicole! Mummy and Di Di love you....

Julian's Insecurity

| | 0 You Bark here

Julian has not been sleeping well lately. Part of it was due to he was not feeling well. The other reason - I dunno but old folk said he could sense that baby G is arriving so he is jealous.

Julian has been waking up very often in his sleep. Mummy is now very sleep deprived cos of him. Besides that, he refuses to leave Mummy for even a minute. He refuses to let the maid carry, bathe him.... Daddy is still ok but preference will be Mummy. Worst, Daddy will always threaten to slap him if he crys due to insecurity or that Daddy said - for no reason!

Dear Julian, Mummy is into my seventh month pregnancy and needs a lot of rest now. Please dun torture Mummy anymore. Mummy would like to carry you as often as I can but do u know u are 10.6kg now and Mummy's tummy is getting bigger and bigger..... Mummy always love u! Be assured!

Scooby Doo - Monster Unleashed 2

| | 0 You Bark here

Baby Julian watched Scooby Doo on Ch 5 last night. He was so engrossed with it that he was reluctant to take his shower. So Mummy had to coax him by telling him that the frog in the toilet was calling him to shower it (he will always pretend to shower the frog in the toilet while Mummy shower him). So he gave me a "Haii" sigh and walked to the toilet for his shower.

We continued watching the show for a while after the shower. Mummy asked if he likes Monsters. He kept shaking his heads and then fell asleep.
(This is the frog that he will shower every nights....)

Baby G - 24 weeks

| | 0 You Bark here

Baby G is 24 weeks old now. Yesterday Mummy went for a follow up. BB G is very active and G moves non-stop in mummy's tummy. The moment Dr Lee tried utlra-scanning G, G started to move the head, waved hands.... No wonder Mummy is beginning to feel aches all over the body.

Now Mummy's appetite has improved. Even after dinner, Mummy will feel hungry again by 10pm and starts looking for SUPPER. Yesterday, Daddy bought a spring chicken back. Yummy! Now Mummy weighs 52.2kg and BB G is a mere 704g baby. Mummy's next appointment to see BB G again is 23 Nov 2007. CYA! BB G..\: )

Julian's Outing

| | 0 You Bark here

At Chai Chee... Julian went back to Ah ma's house on 27.10.2007 (Sat) to take graduation photo with God mummy. She is a CPA now! Mummy envy so much! When will be Julian's turn? By then, God mummy and mummy will be toothless old ladies! Ha ha..
Afterthat we rushed down to Delta House to return the robe.

At Tiong Bahru Plaza..... Then we went to Tiong Bahru Plaza for lunch. Julian is now a fussy eater and we had Burger King for lunch.

While God mummy is queuing for the food, there was a Caucasian lady behind Julian, he began to wave at her and even threw kisses at her. He is really a cheeky boy. Just like Father like son!

At Queensway SC..... Next we proceeded to Queensway Shopping Centre as recommended by Uncle Daniel. Mummy wanted to buy a pair of sport shoes for Julian cos he is a big boy now and he could walk steadily now.
I guess the NIKE's slogan is just right for Julian - JUST DO IT! Cos after Julian tried on the shoes, he ran away with it and God Mummy had to chase after him.

The retail staff was very professional as he gave Mummy's advises on how to choose a perfect sport shoes for Baby Julian. We bought a 1 size bigger NIKE (size 7C) based on his advice. The shoes with 30% discount cost S$36.00. (Daddy's comment: Wow! So expensive ah!)

At IKEA Alexandra...... Finally we went to IKEA. Julian was attracted to the Children balls pool at IKEA and he kept staring at it, refusing to go off. God mummy asked me to check with the staff if Julian could play in it. The staff said there is no age limit but he has to have a minimum height of 0.98m. Baby Julian is too short for it so we pushed his stroller away. He was so angry that he cried and struggled out of the stroller. God mummy was heart ache and she carried him out. He wanna ran back to that direction but Mummy kept telling him that we could play in the Children section instead then he was willing to calm down.

He had lots of fun at the Children Section and he loved this rocking reindeer very much so Mummy bought it for him.

Daddy finally had time to fix it up for him today and he was having a great time rocking it. BUT Daddy said "NO MORE TOYS FOR JULIAN!" Never mind, Julian, dun worry, Mummy didn't hear that!

Julian goes to school @ 15m

| | 0 You Bark here

Julian went to a trial class at Learning Kidz at AMK Hub on 26.10.2007, 10am. Mummy paid S$15.00 for a one and half hour class.

What did Julian do? He waved hands with the parents in the class, Hugged the students.... One of the student was drinking milk in her Avent Milk Bottle and he even extended his help by helping that gal held her bottle. He would do anything except STUDYING n paying attention in class.

It started off with a Chinese teacher showing flashcards but he doesn't understand Chinese at all so he was not interested. Daddy and Mummy had to act as his interpreter. Only when the music started then he began dancing. The teacher asked the students to hold hands and form a circle. He was most interested and kept holding a boy's hand next to him but this little boy was so annoyed that he kept flicking Julian's hand away. So Julian hold, he flick, Julian hold, he flick......goes on and on.....

The class was supposed to end at 11.30am but by 11am he held Mummy's hand and led mummy to the door. He was all ready to go home.

After he reached home, he took a 3 hours nap......: (

Nicole Dog Style

Nicole has schnauzer's bumps again. I guess it's due to the hot weather. The vet suggested we take her for a swim so there she is - HAVING "A GOOD TIME" swimming.

This is not the first time we brought her for a swim and she doesn't like it. Whenever, we bring her near the sea, she sense it and she will run as fast as she could. BUT the dip is really effective, her bumps will disappear after every dips. Enjoy the clips.

Julian's Milestone @ 14m

| | 0 You Bark here

Dun be mistaken! Julian is not back from his marketing trip. He is doing his daily duty - throwing rubbish! Julian is responsible for clearing our rubbish (if any, left outside the house) every morning. It has become so habitual that whenever he sees a packet of rubbish lying outside our door, he will pick it up and walk to the rubbish chute to dispose it. That is regardless of the size of the bag OK!
~~~~~****~~~~~~
Julian has finally said the MAGIC WORD "MA......MA......."! It melts my heart everytime he calls out.... Will try to record it for u, bloggers.
~~~~~****~~~~~~
Julian has also given up playing his toys but will always pick up a book to read. Sound like very studious hor. Hmmmm..... Actually most of the time he just wanna carry the book around. In order to cultivate his reading habit, we all spend time reading to him and even bring him to library. BUT NEVER bring this sweetie to library cos once he reaches there, he becomes a MONSTER! He is more interested in hugging and chasing the kids around than reading the books.

Talking Bird

| | 0 You Bark here

Men are very proud of their little thing! That includes BABIES! In order to train baby Julian to pee as and when Mummy say so, I've invented a way. PRAISES! This baby needs a lot of praises! That includes his BIRD!
Nowadays Mummy will open his diaper regularly and says "Julian, Mummy is talking to your bird bird now. O Bird bird, sh sh sh......" Julian will immeidately response by peeing (even he doesn't have much, he will still use all his strength to force some out. Can see from his face) then Mummy will praise his BIG ego SMALL bird bird "GOOD BIRD GOOD BIRD".
This is how he is potty trained....

MILK MILK

| | 0 You Bark here

Julian has been on FORMULA for about 4 months now. He is adapting well and still manage to poo twice a day.
Recently Mummy teases him.. Mummy will prepare his bottle of milk then show him my breast and ask to him to choose. He still LOVE to see the breasts and will smile sheepishly at it. BUT he will choose the bottle!
Then Mummy will pretend to carry him and force the nipple into his mouth. He won't suck it but later when I takes it out - He will pretend to puke and making that kind of vomiting sound. What an ungrateful baby he is! He used to love it so much!

"Kawaii"

| | 0 You Bark here

Julian has learnt a new trick recently..... from don't know where.....????
He will use a finger to point at his face, slant his head and smile. Trying to act cute!

So Mummy adds a word to it when he does that - "KAWAII". So now whenever I said KAWAII, he will start to act cute again.

Sex Maniac in Action

| | 1 You Bark here

Last week Mummy and God-mummy brought Julian to Marina Square shopping.
We were at John Little and God mummy was busy trying out clothings. Julian also made himself very busy walking around the place and looking for switches to switch off. (Can't blame him. That is a gene from his Daddy's family.) Then a "kawaii jie jie" walked towards him and asked "Jie jie pretty or mummy pretty?". He didn't even need to think and planted a kiss on that sales assistant.
At that moment, I was thinking of dumping him at JL cos he never give me face! He should have kissed mummy and mummy is prettiest! He needs to learn from Daddy!

Mummy was hospitalised

| | 0 You Bark here

It was Mummy's turn to be hospitalised.

Actually Mummy had developed symptoms on 12.09.2007 after Julian was admitted. After seeing a 24 hours gynae service at KK and was prescribed with meidcine. I thought it should be alright. Then on 15.09.2007, I developed a very bad headache and stomach cramp. As I was pregnant so better don't take chance. I went to Mt Alvernia for checkup to ensure Baby G was OK. Dr Lee (my gynae) said I was infected by Julian and it was better for me to admit and put on drip.

So I was admitted for a day and put on 6 pack of drip... After a night rest, I was feeling so much better. The total bill is estimated to be S$900+. What an expensive illness.

On 18.09.2007, the whole family went to temple to pray for health.

Prince Julian was hospitalised

| | 0 You Bark here

Prince Julian was hospitalised! This was how it started...

10.09.2007 - Baby Julian woke up from his usual nap at about 2.15pm. He was burping burping and suddenly puke! Mummy thought he was hungry as he skipped his lunch so mummy prepared milk for him. He drank half a bottle and suddenly he "MERLION" from his nose and mouth. Mummy quickly rushed him to a nearby clinic. The Dr said he had a bloated tummy. What causes it was unknown so no medicine just observe. Mummy brought Julian home and gave him 如意油 & 八宝散. He puked. From then on whatever goes in comes out even water. At 7pm, Mummy sent him back to the clinic and Dr prescribed some vomit and wind syrup for him. Dr adviced just give him milk. Mummy was very puzzled and asked if we adults have a bloated tummy shouldn't we avoid milk? Dr said he is a baby so different case! Poor Julian continued to puke for a total 11 times.

11.09.2007 - Daddy and Mummy decided to send him to KK hospital. The pd said he has GASTROENTERITIS so must avoid milk and all dairy products. He started to developed fever on and off and had diarrhea. The vomit had stopped.

12.09.2007 - He was feeling better this day and could play with popo. Mummy was preparing congee for him when suddenly popo shouted for mummy. Daddy dash in and saw baby Julian in fit! His face turned pale blue! Daddy and Mummy rushed him to the clinic. Mummy's tear just burst out and thought Julian was dying. Daddy was half naked! Dr certified as stable condition after the fit and we quickly rush him to KK again. He stayed there for 1 night for observation. It was a difficult night for him because he was so scare of the doctor and strange place. He wouldn't sleep and crying. His diarrhea was really bad. The nurse had to mop the floor after he poo. He had a lot of guests for that day. Daddy stayed overnight with him. Doctor said he had a provocative seizure after a serious illness due to imbalance of electrolytes and sodium.

13.09.2007 - He recovered very fast and started behaving like a monkey today. He was discharged at 1pm. This clever boy started waving and hi 5 with the nurses.

P.S: Mummy had never seen Daddy so worry and Mummy could actually run non stop to clinic (in pregnancy) all for Julian!
Now Julian is no longer afriad of back side monster but he is scare when we say "DOCTOR". He is also afriad to see plaster. So now if he is trying to open a cabinet door, Mummy will show him a plaster.

Baby G is 18 weeks in mummy's tummy now! The due date is estimated to be near the Chinese New Year 18.02.2008. Mummy was hoping that Baby G will arrive on 14.02.2008. That's Valentine day!

Baby G has been giving mummy a difficult time. Baby G is fussy over food, give mummy round the clock morning symptoms for more than 3 months. Mummy is still feeling nausea on and off.

Daddy and Granny are hoping for a boy again! Mummy cross her finger and hope for an adorable princess. Next month, Dr Lee will give mummy a detail scan and by then we shall know Baby G is a Girl or a Boy.

My Mummy is a Monster

| | 0 You Bark here

(Can u see her 2 horns sticking out of her hair? Look at my expression and u can tell...So scary!)

I'm 13 months now so I can host my own blog. My first blog shall be - My Mummy from Hell! She is a Monster! Let me tell you why :(

Mummy, Daddy, Popo and I went to Causeway Pt for a Dim Sum lunch today. Mummy ordered some nice dishes but she only gave me a bowl of century egg congee. I kept pointing to her I wanted that fried beancurd skin and she just refused to give me! So I decided the best protest is to shut my mouth - DUN EAT! Daddy took over the feeding so that my devil mummy can eat. She was happily eating up all the rest of the dishes with me watching. Luckily she had some conscience and gave me a small bite of her SIEW MAI. Wow! it's MARVELICIOUS (short for marvelous and delicious)! So I kept telling her "mum mum....". She was nice initially, she cut them into small pieces and shared it with me! O no! My tongue had this burning sensation. My face immediately turned red and I was perspiring on my head! She had chilli on her chopstick! I screamed but I still wanted the siew mai. I finished almost one and half pc of it then she told me "NO MORE!". She wanted the remaining half so she told me NO MORE! of cos I wouldn't take that. I wailed out loud with my big mouth wide open. And I made sure 2 rolls of tears comes out.... She had no choice but to give me another pc of siew mai but I was too angry to eat it anymore. Daddy carried me out of the restaurant. I guess it Daddy's tactic not to foot the bill.

Next Daddy brought me shopping around and finally meeting Mummy and Popo at the basement Guardian Pharmacy. I was having a good time with Daddy cos Daddy got me a balloon from MacDonald. Not noticing Mummy was coming and SHE STRIKES AGAIN! She carried me from behind and slowly moving me away from Daddy. U know I've separation anxiety and someone carried me from behind without knowing who it was. Of cos I was scared and I cried out loudly again. This time with my eyes tightly shut. She was laughing at my pathetic state and left Daddy to comfort me. She continued her shopping with Popo...

So do u think my mummy is a MONSTER!

恺恺色狼传

It's either Baby Julian has his father gene or Mummy has watched too much "Sing Chan cartoon - 蜡笔小新" during pregnancy. He is basically a sheep under wolf skin.

Incident 1#
He invited Baby Jerselle to his class on Sat and kept kissing her in front of her parents until she couldn't stand him anymore. Poor Jerselle!

Incident 2#
He was at Daddy's handphone shop, there was this couple walking pass...saw our beautiful Nicole and the girl squatted down to stroke Nicole. The boyfriend was anxious that she would reveal her undies (she was wearing a very short hot pant)so kept pulling her pant behind. Then our Baby Julian saw her. Walked to her and grab her thigh. Luckily, he is still a baby maniac so the boy friend didn't realise his act and give a black eye. (P.S : Julian, she is only interested in jie jie not u, dun take opportunity!)

Incident 3#
Whenever there is a pretty girl on the cover page of a magazine, he will grab the magazine and start kissing it till it's full of his saliva.

So if u think u are a PRETTY GAL, STAY CLEAR OF HIS PATH!

Toy Story - PG

| | 2 You Bark here

Last Sunday, Ch5 showed Toy Story so Mummy switched it over after dinner so Julian could watch the cartoon. It was suppose to be a Adventure Story of the TOYS but after Mummy's narration (so call parental guidance), it became a HORROR show for him!

The cartoon began with an Astronaut flying here and there in the space. Then he met his enemies, he destroyed them until he met a very powerful one that blew him into 2 pieces.... Mummy was afraid that he couldn't understand the story so she simplified it with her own version like...The Astronaut was flying here and there when he met the BACKSIDE MONSTER! O! He destroyed them so that the BM would not bite Julian anymore. O No! He met another BM, a more powerful one. He was trying to run away and at the same time avoiding his bites. BANG!....No need narration anymore! Julian saw the BM shot the astronaut into 2 pieces and he cried out loudly! Mummy was shock and quickly hugged Julian and tried hard to pacify him. (By the way, how do I know the good one will be defeated by the bad one)

Nevertheless, Mummy continued to narrate the story replacing all bad guys with BM. Baby Julian watched the show attentively (with his mouth wide open) and shaking his head occasionally.

Later when I told the incident to Auntie Unique. She said the meaning of PG means parent will guide the child in the right way so perhap next time when there is a PG show, I need to be guided by another sensible adult to ensure Baby Julian has a RIGHT PARENTAL GUIDANCE!

Backside Monster

| | 2 You Bark here

How was Backside Monster being created? Here the story goes....

Baby Julian has a cute and tender bum (with a green patch) and Mummy is so tempted to bite his bum after every shower. So one day Mummy couldn't resist anymore and bite it! Julian cried out! Of course I wouldn't admit Mummy has done it. So immediately Mummy told him, "it's the BACKSIDE MONSTER! It's Ok... Mummy will protect your backside!" So Mummy became the good one, always protecting Baby Julian's bum.... Hee heee...

Nowadays, when Julian is very naughty or wouldn't sleep, Mummy will tell him story of BACKSIDE MONSTER which becomes a bedtime story for him. Maybe Mummy should start writing children story just like Madonna... but I'll do the HORROR one and who knows it will become another HARRY POTTER...

Finally Baby Julian is 1! See how difference he looks now and then. He was then a 3kg baby and now he is over 9kg! He has changed so much, grow so much during the last 12 months.

Seeing this little thing sleeping next to me every nights, I feel so contented and at peace. I've been putting a smiley face to bed every night cos of him. Although he is naughty and very hyper-active and he always wear mummy down, nevertheless he is Mummy's best medicine for bi-polar.

ON FOOD - I've never been a good cook so when I first realised that I have to cook for a baby after being a mother, I am worried! I basically started collecting recipes and asking around for advises when he was born! Baby Julian has a big appetite and a fine tongue! He started asking for solid when he was 4.5m old! As a 4.5m baby, the food in the market is quite limited as most of it is for 6m above. So it put me to test! He first started with Eu Yan Sang 四神糙米粉 recommended by his god mummy then he soon got tired of it. Next Auntie Samantha advised me to cook mashed potato with carrots, green peas with mashed potato, mashed sweet potato... Soon he grew tired of it too! He was about 5m plus then. So Mummy decided to cook the dreadful porridge! The porridge was bland and he didn't like it so Mummy panic and started asking around for advice again. This time Auntie Jessia recommended mummy to put a teaspoon of organic miso to give the porridge a taste and others suggested BOVRIL (Mummy's childhood fav!) He loved the miso but not the BOVRIL. So Mummy would always cook the porridge with miso, veggies and fish then blend it for this little one with 4 teeth. Mummy also went for Nutrition Talk organised by polyclinic to hone up my cooking skill. So far, I've cooked pasta, udon, apple porridge... for him. With the discovery of dried scallops (also a recommendation from god mummy and so far sponsored by her at S$13 a pack), mummy's porridge cooking skill has improved tremendously. Now mummy will blend a tub of grains to cook everyday. Ingredients will be veggies, meat and 5 small pcs of scallops. Julian will finish his dinner diligently. Seeing him eating to heartily, I'm so contented. Dear Julian, I will improve my cooking skill and add more variety to your daily meals. I PROMISE!

ON WEANING - I had tried to wean him off since he was 7m but was not successful cos he didn't want bottle feed and he didn't want the formula. Anyway, I was not persistent too cos my intention is too feed him till 1 year old. When he was about 10-11m, my milk supply dropped and he would cried every nights for milk. Then I started to panic and desperately trying to substitute him with FORMULA! Luckily, this time popo was around to help. With advices from the Mummy Support Club & the right FORMULA... He was weaned off quickly. I got him a Pooh Bear training cup on the advice from the Mummy's club and told it was milk milk from Pooh Pooh. He would kiss the bear on the cup and start drinking from it. I couldn't feed him but popo will do the job (also advice from the Mummy's). With the right BRAND, he is on FORMULA now. No more chasing after Mummy's breast. So finally my factory can rest.

ON PARENTING - I think women are really SUPER! When I was a pregnant. I really had no idea about what I should do as a Mummy beside having the experience of taking care of Nicole. So I read and read.. When Julian was born, I couldn't apply the theories cos very panicking. I couldn't even carry him properly. With nobody to help and the confinement nanny was gone... I struggled. Throughout the 12m, I am "P plate" (Probational) Mummy...learning along the way. I guess the responsibility and commitment is so great that I become a SUPER MUMMY. I become a better cook, can wake up in the middle of the night to check on him especially when he was sick... Those were the things I wouldn't be able to do it in the past. BUT being a mummy is forever a learning process. I tell myself, I will go on...
