The Arrival of BB Gar Gar
Scribbled by Jolene | 12:20 AM | 1 You Bark hereWith epidural the pain was less severe now. I managed to drift in and out of sleep. Nurses in the delivery suite were very nice. They kept helping me ease the pain like putting pillows on my back, changing my position. As time went by, pain got more intense, nurses increased the strength of epidural.
24th Jan 2008. By 6am, my cervix had opened 5cm. Dr. Lee came in soon and broke my water bag. The contraction started immediately and came fast. My back and lower abdomin were in great pain. Epidural couldn't help anymore. I was grabbing and screaming. Nurse gave me a jab on my thigh and laughing gas. The laughing gas worked and I kept sucking in till I almost concuss. Nurse took it away and I was trying to grab it back from her. Dr Lee said I should get ready to push now. I pushed very hard cos this was the only way to end my suffering. 2 nurses helped me by pushing my tummy.
By 8.20am, BB Gar Gar finally come into the world. I was so relieved, tired and concuss by then. I closed my eyes and didn't have a good look at him. For the rest of the day, I was very drowsy and drifted in and out of sleep....
Julian's Milestone @ 18m
Scribbled by Jolene | 2:43 PM | 0 You Bark hereJulian is 1.5 year old now but he is always referring himself as baby. He could do a lot of things and understand quite a lot of instructions now. Of cos, he is getting more and more mischievous but never admits it. He will always refer himself as a good boy or handsome boy!
Today Daddy and Mummy brought him for his 18m DTP vaccination in Yishun Polyclinic. His weight is now 11.46kg, height is 83cm and head circumference is 50cm. The nurse who took his measurement commented "Wow, he has a BIG HEAD!" Daddy protested: "Ain't all babies the same?" Nurse said: "But your son one is especially BIG. Never mind BIG HEAD means Intelligent!" As usual, he cried and cried during the checkup, even the doctor is afraid of him.
Mummy told BB Julian that he is going to see BB Gar Gar in 2 days time and he is going to be a gor gor soon! He would always lift up my clothes and say Hi to BB Gar Gar or even kiss my belly button. I wonder how would he react when he actually see BB Gar Gar on the 24.01.2008.
Julian has a special ritual whenever he showers with Mummy in the evening. That is, he would apply body foam on my tummy meaning he is bathing BB Gar Gar. Then he would rub foam on my nipples to shower the "milk milk". After that, he would put my nipples into his mouth pretending to suck milk milk then he starts giggling. What a silly boy he is!
Daddy commented that there are events in life where there are excitements but only last for awhile. The only one excitement that lasted till now is becoming a Dad. Julian has brought joys and excitements into our lives for 1.5 yr now.
Baby Gar Gar is 36week
Scribbled by Jolene | 9:29 AM | 0 You Bark hereMummy has been coughing very badly since last week. Despite having seen GP 4 times, the cough still persist. Yesterday morning, I suddenly felt heaviness down the vaginal and a sharp that I couldn't even close my legs so I decided to bring forward the Gynae's appointment date. Thresa was very nice and despite Dr Lee's busy schedule, she managed to slot me in.
Dr Lee checked my cervix and told Daddy and Mummy that the cervix is opened by 2cm and BB Gar Gar is now weighing at 2.8kg, is ready to come into the world. However, BB Gar Gar is only 36 weeks old so BB Gar Gar's lung may still be wet so Dr Lee suggested I should take 2 injections to stabilise the condition. Therefore Mummy will be admitting Mt Alvernia tonight to do the injection, then induce BB Gar Gar out. If everything is smooth, our family will be expecting a new member on 24.01.2008.
(P.S: Mummy is now weighing 56.8kg)
Daddy's "cock"
Scribbled by Jolene | 8:57 PM | 0 You Bark hereMama's love
Scribbled by Jolene | 3:27 PM | 0 You Bark hereIt's 3am. I couldn't sleep last night. Still very troubled by today incidents. Mummy is giving birth to bb Gar Gar soon but still very worry about who to take care of bb Julian during my stay in the hospital and my confinement. Who can I entrust to bring Julian to school and make sure he is safe?!
Yesterday, Julian went to his caterpillar class again and Mummy watched him for a while outside. He was doing fine and Mummy went out to have my lunch downstair. After lunch, Mummy went back and saw the maid carrying him and crying. He didn't wanna go to the class. So I walked in and carried him, consoled him and accompanied him back to the classroom again. Once I stepped into the classroom, my maid went into a disappearing act for a long time. I presumed she went to the Ladies. As Mummy's tummy is getting bigger and has trouble sitting on the floor and getting up, I could only sit there with Julian and giving him instruction. He wanna carry a bb chair to sit on it but was clumsy and fell with the chair on him. The chair hit his chin and he cried in pain. Mummy had to stand up and carried him despite the pain on my legs and tummy while getting up.
Finally our maid came back and attended to him. It was playtime, so Mummy sat on the side to watch him play (with the maid taking care of him). Guess what!? I think my maid is equally pregnant like me! She would just stand aside and tell Julian "NO, NO.." instead of hold him back. Then incident began to happen...
Incident 1.
Julian went to slide open the cabinet to take out some toys to play so I told him to come back cos he was not suppose to open the cabinet. With his hand beside the cabinet, the maid slammed the door on it. Julian cried out loud and she still didn't know what happen, carried him n tell him "Go school cannot cry" I screamed at her n told her she slammed the door on his hand and that was why he was crying. She carried Julian to me and his finger was red! Her reply was "I didn't see!"
Incident 2.
The teachers put up the swings for the children to play... Maid told me it his favourite and carried him to the swing. I watched him play. This is not the 1st time he is swinging, he has joined the class since 10m old. I was looking at some jig saw puzzle thinking which should I buy for Julian so he could play and learn at home. Guess what!? As I turned around, I saw her swinging Julian wildly as if he was a 6 - 7 yrs old kid. Look at his expression, he was so scare that his mouth was twitched and he couldn't even cry out. I was so angry that I rushed to him to stop the swing. He hang on to me tightly. I asked her can't she see he was scared and why swing him like that. He is afterall a 17m old bb!
Incident 3.
It's clean up time and the children suppose to keep the toys. Julian went to meddle with the hi-fi set instead. So my maid suppose to take care of him and carry him away and encourage him to keep the toys but instead she helped the teachers to keep the toys and leaving Julian alone to play on his own. I carried Julian away from the hi-fi set and signalled her to come over. I told her, her job is to take care of Julian not the classroom. Know what is her priorty!
I told Daddy about it but he was quite cool about it. Maybe it's a trival matter to him. Even with Mummy's around, she is so absent minded so what happen if I am not around!? How could I entrust Julian to the maid who is a dreamer and Daddy who behave like a bachelor (only concern is making money and pubbing!)! No mother could!
Julian is still sound asleep! Mummy checked on him. His hands and feet are a bit cold so Mummy turned the fan away and gave him some warm water. His diaper was heavy thro' not wet cos it's super absorbent but Mummy changed it so he could sleep in comfy. Actually who would bother to do that except a MOTHER! Daddy is still pubbing outside and he'll be very drunk by the time he comes back at dawn. I guess I can't expect much from others except a MOTHER! This is MAMA's love!P.S.: Julian, Mummy loves u dearly!

Julian First Day of School
Scribbled by Jolene | 5:06 PM | 0 You Bark hereThis photo was taken when Julian was 3 months old by Winnie yiyi. Now BB Julian is 17m plus and is attending PLAYGROUP @ MYMO PLACE! How time flies!
Today is Julian first day of school, Mummy is more excited than our little Julian! Mummy brought Julian in at 11.45am and the door closed. Mummy stayed hiding behind the door and little Julian was happily playing in the class with the teachers. So Mummy went down stair to run some errands leaving the maid to watch over him. When Mummy came back about 30mins later. Julian was seen attempting to escape from the class and heading for the door crying. The teacher saw Mummy and signalled to me that she could handle. So I hided behind the door. Mummy could see 2 teachers attending to him and trying to distract him with all sort of things, camera, books, games, toys, snacks..... but as you know, like mother like son, Julian is very focus and stubborn. He continued to sob till he gets what he wants! Finally at about 12.30pm, the teacher carried him to me and said she "surrender"! She was worried he could choke himself!
Mummy took over the sobbing and shaken bb Julian and fed him with water and gave him biscuits. He kept holding on to me refusing to let go. His hands and feet were cold and I need to give him a sweater. Mummy needs to accompany him into the classroom again and he refused to play with the rest. Mummy stayed with him till 1.15pm (the class ending time) then he was warm up again and started playing and even kiss the teachers goodbye.
Now the teachers have given Mummy's special permission to accompany him into the classroom for the next few days......
