Julian's Dinner (continued)

It's amazing! Julian has learnt to eat with a spoon. It is only his third attempt. He didn't create a mess n his bib is still very clean after the feed. When I held the spoon near to his mouth, he opened his tiny mouth for the cereal. He even asked for more when I stopped feeding him after the 10th spoon. I'm so happy. My baby Julian has grown up! So proud of him! (n of course my cooking skill...)

Julian's Dinner

Mummy's first attempt to make dinner for Julian yesterday - BROWN RICE CEREAL. Guess what's the outcome? People know my culinary skill should know..he he.. DISASTROUS lor!

I read the instruction but it isn't clear so I called sister in law to check. She said it is suppose to look like the thickness of a congee but guess what! After boiling it for 5 minutes, then I poured in the breast milk, it looked like a cup of milo instead.

Worst of all I didn't know how much is enough so I continued to feed him till he cried.

Sorry, Julian. Mummy will try again tonight.

(PS: I guess only Nicole will appreciate my cooking cos yesterday when I was feeding Julian, Nicole was sitting beside keenly...waiting for her turn.)

Lonely Nicole

Nicole's baby brother has been very naughty today eversince mummy started working. He wouldn't let mummy put him down even for just a while. He wants to be carried all the time otherwise he will cry his lung out.

So Nicole, being the elder sister is neglected. Mummy has no time to play with her. She is waiting for her daddy to come home...

Sorry, Nicole...Mummy will give u a good massage after di di falls asleep, ok?

Julian's First Tooth

Julian is teething! Mummy & Daddy have noticed there is a small little tooth sticking out on his lower jaw like a tip of an iceberg.

Winnie yiyi, u said u wanna bite him to take revenge. I think no chance now. Be careful Julian will bite u first, cos like mother like son mah! haha....

Mischievous Julian

Julian is getting naughtier each day. Every night before he sleeps, I will tell him this, "Ju, now u go to sleep. Pls dun wake up to drink milk milk in the middle of the night." True enuf, he didn't wake up to drink milk but he screams a few time thro' the night...He screams when he drops his "tu tu", he screams when he wants to roll over, he screams when he can't roll back. In the end, daddy & mummy will still have to wake up to attend to him.

Julian is 4m old

Julian is 4 months old on 20.07.2006. He has done quite a lot of things on this day. Gone for his vaccination n he weighs 7kg now. Then he went to a barber for his new hair cut. Mummy has designed this hair style for him. Ah ma & gong gong like it very much.

HRU, Nicole?

Nicole has been quite moody these few days n she oso skipped her dinner sometimes...Daddy n Mummy had tried very things - playing toy toy with her, coaxing ... she doesn't buy it. Maybe she will be having her heat soon or perhaps it's time to find her a boyfriend. But Daddy has very high expectation for his son-in-law n mummy hestitates whether to let her darling goes thro' labour pain.

Julian's unwell

Baby Julian was unwell yesterday. He puked after every feed. It worrys me very much. Monitored him the whole day...Thanks God, he's better now.

Nicole's Dinner Time

Dun be deceived by this pic. She is actually a fussy eater. Nicole eats 2 meals a day. Breakfast is milk biscuits n vitamins. Dinner is served at about 7pm which is Natural Balance - sweet potato n fish with fresh carrot dices. Dessert is a slice of apple. She will normally eats her dinner in the middle of the night.

When she first came to our house, she was a very starving puppy. Whenever she saw me preparing her meal, she would dash to me n her daddy had to restrain her. However, after a few months of pampering, she becomes a fussy eater...

On her birthday every year, we will order food from US Doggy Bakery to celebrate with her cousins (Kesia, Baby n Buffy). Her favourite is Shep Pie. Be careful with what u order cos' she will only eat those she likes... I think next year, I will search the internet for recipes and prepare her birthday meal instead.

Julian First Step - Roll over

Baby Julian finally learns to roll over!

He is a very hardworking baby that he woke up at 2.30am last night to practice his roll over skill. However, he was like a "peng san" tortoise that he needed mummy's help to turn him back. In the end, the sleepy mummy rewarded him with plenty of breast milk n told him, "son, it's middle of the night, dun need to practice so hard..."

Mum's recipe

Must Try! Very Mavelicious!

Ingredients:

2.5 cup of rice

shredded mushroom (about 5 pcs)

shredded dried cuttlefish (50g)

half cabbage

1 pc of chicken breast meat (dice)

dried shrimps ( as your liking)

Seasoning:

1 cube of chicken stock

a little bit of light soy sauce

a dash of seasame oil

a dash of dark soy sauce (optional)

1. Soak mushroom, dried shrimps n cuttlefish.
2. Heat Wok then fried all ingredients except cabbage.
3. Add all seasoning n stir fry till it's well mixed.
4. Pour everything into cooker plus about 2 bowls of water.
5. Stir fry cabbage till half cooked.
6. When rice is almost cooked. Mix cabbage into the rice.
7. Let the rice cooker do the rest of the work.

Introducing my children

We adopted Nicole when she was about 6 months old. She is now 2.5 years old (born on 24.04.2004). She is a miniature black & silver schnauzer.

She is closer to Daddy n her daddy taught her a nos. of tricks. She is very obedient n seldom bark. You will never be able to find another one as kwai as her so we love her very much.

Nicole loves apple very much. So after every meals, we will give her a slice of apple. If I'm eating an apple then she will come to me & give me a very pitiful look so end up I've to share my apple with her (She win liao lor).

She also love her doggy "wang wang" very much. Whenever I shake the bottle, she will come to me no matter where she is...

The things she dread most are shower n brushing teeth. If you tell her, "Nicole, let's go shower shower.." or show her the toothpaste. She will straight away do the leopard crawl and goes into hidding.

Oh Yes! Nicole loves massaging! She will use her hand to scratch your hand if she wants a massage. She always do that to me & her daddy.

Baby Julian was created on 21.10.2005 (according to our Gynae). The creator is of course this proud guy on the left..but we also need to thank Dr Lee for his miracle pill otherwise we might still be making....

Baby Julian was born on 20.07.2006. He was induced and vacuumed at Mt Alvernia. 3.01kg and 49cm.

3 months into the world n he is now over 6kg n 63cm long. Of course it's mummy's powerful breast milk that makes it possible lah!

Everyone says he looks exactly like his daddy. What do you think?

He is now very active & talkative. He will wakes up every morning laughing, talking non stop n kicking vigorously. I guess he must have dreamt of swimming in a pool of milk n surrounded by alot of breasts... Oop O, can't continue...baby Julian is awake n crying..

My First Blog Message

Finally I get to blog! Julian's sleeping n hubby's not fighting over computer with me.

First of all, need to thanks my children 2 "helpful n enthusiastic" aunties for making this blog possible. It's only with their helps that this site is made possible... (P.S. dear Winnie, my site manager, still can't see my message bottle leh...)

I'm still very new to blogging n alots to learn from the 2 experience aunties. Hope that the viewers will enjoy my blog n I'll try my best to update it as often as I can.

Why my treasure casket? My happinest moment in my life is having Nicole & Julian by my side..something money can't buy. They are my treasure locked deep inside my heart. This blog is therefore specially dedicated to my two precious one.
